After long months of planning, followed by licensing hassles a-plenty and then much more planning, the Church is – at last! – proud to present Longniddry’s very own cinema club.
As well as being lots of fun, cinema offers an avenue into spiritual, ethical and social issues. In our first season we will aim to present a varied selection of films, a number of which we know will be challenging in one way or another. (You have been warned.)

Fed up of long drives to the cinema, and overpriced Maltesers? Then join the club, enjoy our reasonably big screen, and bring your own sweeties.
Not only is membership totally free, but each film comes with absolutely no admission charge. (It may seem bizarre, but that’s what the licence insists on, so that’s what we’ll do!) Anyone in the area is welcome to join, so long as they are over 16 years of age.
To sign up, come to church any Sunday, or have a chat with movie supremo John Thomson (852748).

Would you believe we’re not actually allowed to tell you about them (it's all down to those licensing rules!). What we can say is that the Film Club have put together a fabulous programme of interesting, thought-provoking films.Once you have registered as a member, you'll get to know the full details of each film. What more can we say, except: “Join the club and see for yourself.”
After the summer break, Longniddry Film Club returns with a rip-roaring Victorian adventure movie released in 2009, featuring everyone’s favourite gents of Baker Street, Holmes and Watson. Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, this period drama brings us comedy, thrills, spills and perhaps a little violin playing.
Sometimes, Longniddry Film Club aims to bring challenging or thought-provoking cinema to the village. Other times, we just have fun, and that’s what it’s all about this time around.
Come to the church for a 7.30pm start on Tuesday 21st September. Club membership and admission are both free of charge to anyone aged 16 and over. Just turn up on the night. Elementary!
